VILLAGE FAIR RAFFLE The
proceeds from this raffle will be used for the operation of the Trade Fair for
2011.
Each ticket will be $5 with 6 tickets for $25. To purchase tickets, please send
a check, money order, or cashier check for the number of tickets you want to: john

the payment out to john Johnson, and please include a stamped envelope if you
want your ticket stubs returned to you. I will mail out your stubs as soon as I
receive your payment. Tickets can also be purchased from Ohio Valley Peddler and
Long Hunter Leather Company. Tickets will be sold at most colonial trade fairs
that these 2 traders attend this year. Tickets
will be sold until 2 pm on Sunday October 16, 2011. The winning tickets will be
drawn at the Schoenbrunn Village Trade Fair at 2pm on October 16, 2011. Winners
need not be present, your prize will be shipped to you. Here
is the prize list we have thus far. More will be added when we get them: Grand
prize: custom English fowler made by Mr. Ken Netting. Stocked in cherry with
engraved brass furniture, the fowler has a 48" round 56 caliber barrel made
by Mr. Netting. Chambers Ketland flintlock is mounted in the relief carved
stock. LOP is 13 3/4" and weight is approx. 6 1/2 pounds. 1st
place: Custom scrimshawed powder horn by Wm. "Wild Willy" Frankfort.
Horn is dated 1764.
2nd
place: Custom shooting bag made by Bob Browder of Long Hunter Leather. The
8"x8" bark tanned deerskin bag has an inside pocket with an outside
pocket on the front under the flap. Fully lined with linen welted and hand sewn
with linen thread. A 1 1/4" Wilde strap with hand forged buckle is
attached. A Pan Brush and measure of Kentucky Cane is also included. 3rd.
Place: Hand forged knife and sheath made by Randy Wolf - bethel forge.
7" blade with 4
1/2" wood handle. 4th
place: Custom hand sewn shooting bag made by Mr. Rob Park. 9"x7" bark
tanned deerskin lined with gray wool. Wood button front closure and a leather
strap with hand forged buckle. 5th
place: hand sewn haversack made by Bruce Richmond of Stitches in Tyme. Bag
measures 9"x12" with inside pocket and lined in linen. Leather strap
with hand forged buckle. 6th
place is a hand made 18th century plate by Amanda Lipps of Common Ground
Pottery. 10" earthenware round floral design dated 1789. 7th
place: Set of Ranger books written by Matt Wulff. These books hold a wealth of
information on ranger life,tactics. etc of the 18th century ranger companies. |
